Chantal Croteau
Chantal Croteau is a PhD Candidate in Sociocultural Anthropology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She earned her MA in Asian Studies from Cornell University and her BA from Bowdoin College. Her dissertation research is centered on dynamics of intercommunal relations in southern Thailand, examining concepts of risk and personhood in a landscape heavily shaped by extractive industries. She was recently selected as a 2024 Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellow.
