S. mutans was grown in 50 mL of brain heart infusion broth supplemented with 255 mg herbal tea extracts (final concentration was 5 mg mL−1) at 37°C for 30 h. The growth of S. mutans was quantified by measuring the optical density at 600 nm. All data are expressed as the mean ± SD (n = 6).
