Wideband millimetre-wave four-way spatial power combiner based on multilayer SIW

Abstract

A hybrid rectangular waveguide/multilayer substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) spatial power divider/combiner has been presented. The rectangular waveguide/four-layer SIW transition is applied to implement the four-way power-dividing/combining function. A millimetre-wave four-way multilayer-SIW power divider/combiner is designed, fabricated and measured. The measured 15 dB return loss and 3 dB insertion loss bandwidth are demonstrated from 29 GHz to 37 GHz.
