Robert R. Janes is the Editor-in-Chief of Museum Management and Curatorship and the former President and CEO of the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is also a visiting research fellow at the School of Museum Studies at the University of Leicester (UK) and an adjunct professor of archaeology at the University of Calgary (Canada). He has devoted his career to championing museums as important social institutions that are capable of making a difference in the lives of individuals and their communities.
