4. Ububele is an Nguni word meaning ‘kindness’. This is a non-governmental organisation established by clinical psychologists, Tony and Hilary Hamburger in 1999 in Kew, on the border of Alexander township in Johannesburg. The organisation uses community-based psychosocial care and support as means to address the emotional trauma of South Africa's past, the on-going mental and physical trauma of life in the cycle of poverty and its daily manifestations faced by disadvantaged individuals, families and communities.
