Renormalization in one-dimensional dynamics

Abstract

I will describe some results on the dynamics of the renormalization operator in the spaces of interval dynamical systems and some of the fundamental tools. This paper is related to my talk at the conference ‘Dynamics and Applications’, in honour of David Rand and Mauricio Peixoto, from 8 to 12th of September 2008, at the University of Minho, Braga.
