Abstract

In this work, a novel Praseodymium complex of tromethamine immobilized onto the SBA-15 channels was successfully synthesized by a simple procedure. The SBA-15@Tromethamine-Pr was synthesized easily using chemical attachment of tromethamine compound on (3-Chloropropyl)trimethoxysilane (CPTMS) functionalized SBA-15 (SBA-15@n-Pr-Cl), followed by treatment with Praseodymium(III) nitrate pentahydrate salt in ethanol under reflux conditions. The proposed catalysts were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, EDX, Map, ICP-OES, SEM, and TGA studies and were successfully applied in the synthesis of for the synthesis of bis(pyrazolyl)methane derivatives. This designed protocol offers several advantages including the use of commercially available and inexpensive materials, short reaction times, high yield, simple procedure, and easily separable and reusable catalyst.
