A Mild, Efficient, and Fast Synthesis of Methyl N-aryldithiocarbamates Using Superoxide Ion at Room Temperature

GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT

Abstract

A one-pot synthesis of methyl N-aryldithicarbamates from the corresponding anilines using carbon disulfide and in situ generated superoxide ion, with good to excellent yields, is reported. The reaction is completed within 1–2 h under mild reaction conditions at room temperature.
