Abstract

A simple, convenient synthetic route for the synthesis of novel dialkyl heteroaryl phosphonates by a reusable and green nano-BF3.SiO2 solid catalyst under solvent-free conditions through Michaelis–Arbuzov reaction with high yields is presented. All the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by spectral data and screened for their antimicrobial activity. Some of the compounds exhibited potent antibacterial activity against all the tested pathogens, and warrant further investigation.
