ABSTRACT
Two new nanocomposite bio films of chitosan(CS)/N-nicotinyl-N',N'-bis(tert-butyl) phosphoric triamide(NPt)/Ag NPs, containing 0, 5% NPt and 10% Ag NPs were prepared and characterized by XRD, SEM, and EDX analysis methods. In vitro antibacterial activities of nanocomposites were evaluated against two Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus) and two Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) in BHI (Brain–Heart Infusion) medium. Results showed that the addition of the NPt to the structure of nanocomposite increased its antibacterial activity.
