Abstract
This study explored how five remarried parents—three mothers and two fathers—view the concept of marital commitment within their current marriages as well as retrospectively across different time periods in their lives. Using a qualitative methodology with integrated quantitative elements, a number of themes arose from these parents' responses that have important implications for both future research and clinical practice for professionals who support individuals involved in remarriages.
