ABSTRACT

Multiferroic composites comprising BaCaTiO3 as ferroelectric phase and ZnFe2O4 as ferrite phase with formula (1-x) Ba0.96Ca0.04TiO3–(x) ZnFe2O4 are fabricated by solid state reaction method. XRD results confirm that samples have a tetragonal structure with ferrite phase at room temperature with average particle size of 70–90nm. Dielectric behaviouar shows anomalies for frequency 500 Hz at 254°C and 239°C for x = 0.10 and 0.20 for the frequency 1 kHz anomalies are found at 269°C and 244 0 C for x = 0.10 and 0.20. The retentivity value for x = 0.20 is 0.234 and coercivity 0.119 respectively.
