About the guest editors
Margaret Middleton is a Providence-based exhibit designer and museum consultant with a degree in industrial design from the Rhode Island School of Design. Middleton’s work has been featured in the American Alliance of Museum’s magazine Museum as well as Exhibition, the journal produced by the National Association for Museum Exhibition. In 2014, Middleton created the Family Inclusive Language Chart.
Sage Morgan-Hubbard is the inaugural Ford W. Bell Fellow for Museums and P-12 Education at the American Alliance of Museums. She is an artist, poet, activist and educator. She was the Youth Programs Coordinator at the National Museum of American History, Academic Partnership Coordinator at Columbia College Chicago and a teaching artist throughout Chicago and DC, instructing youth from Pre-K through college. She has a BA in Performance Studies and Ethnic Studies from Brown University and a MA + PhD coursework in Performance Studies from Northwestern University with a certificate in Gender Studies.
