Notes

1GCSEs are 2 year secondary school classes for students in England. Beginning in grade 9 (age 13–14) students have the option to choose GCSEs, which allow them to specialize in particular subject areas such as physical education and science. Students begin classes during their 10th grade year and take final examinations at the end of their 11th grade year. Grades range from A* (referred to as A “star”) to G, with A* to C being looked upon most favorably by employers.
