Table 1. CAPCE course formats

F1 – denotes a classic live in person course wherein students and instructors are in the same geographic location F2 – denotes a live course with repeated content such as CPR or ACLS F3 – a classic asynchronous on-line/distributive learning (DL) course F4 – denotes a course wherein the student interacts with the activity in a way that their actions/choices direct the activity, such as an interactive game or scenario. F5 – synchronous DL virtual instructor lead training (VILT) course.
