Michele Lobo

Michele Lobo is a lecturer in Human Geography, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Deakin University, Melbourne. Her research agenda invigorates debates on racial and planetary justice informed by diverse Indigenous, Southern, Eastern, Black, Diasporic and Islamic cosmologies of co-belonging. Michele's open access publication, ‘Breathing spaces of fearlessness and generosity in the Anglophone/Western University’, Geographical Research (Special Issue: Decolonising the University edited by M Lobo and D Rodriguez) is available at https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/1745-5871.12491. She serves as Editor, Social & Cultural Geography, Reviews Editor, Postcolonial Studies and Council Member, Institute of Australian Geographers. She has published more than 60 Scholarly outputs including 3 books as well as articles in several high-impact journals, many supported by three prestigious Australian grants (ARC DECRA; ARC Discovery; Australia India Council-DFAT grant).
