Heimrich Kanis is currently associate professor in the Department of Applied Ergonomics and Design of the School of Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. His research interests include usage observation in support of design. Previously, he has done product testing for consumer organizations, carried out research into the development of test methods and into the energy consumption of household appliances, and investigated the influence of consumer organizations on product innovation.
