Abstract
Sexual harassment in academia remains a lively topic of discussion. One of the reasons for this is the multidimensionality of the conduct. Academic sexual harassment encompasses all the combinations of male/female, professor/student scenarios. This work examines the social psychological issues behind the construction of a hostile work environment, and how such a milieu transcends workplace settings. Strategies and policy implications will also be explored.
