ABSTRACT

This study examines Vietnamese hospitality organizations’ involvement in Industry 4.0 technologies, the most valuable Industry 4.0 tools used, and key outcomes of Industry 4.0 uptake. As many as 408 hotel and restaurant managers were recruited, and their perspectives were gathered through an online survey. The analysis revealed 11 dimensions that include Industry 4.0 to market, perform, connect, and modernize (involvement), and strategic, financial, and interactive Industry 4.0 (outcomes). Based on these dimensions, a developed framework illuminating practical and conceptual understanding of the above themes is proposed. The study focuses on an emerging economy with a burgeoning tourism and hospitality industry.
