Self-ethnography of a Latina

Pages 392-393 | Published online: 10 Oct 2018

ABSTRACT

A self-ethnography of a first-generation Latina’s journey. She speaks of the hardships she has endured with respect to being the only daughter of immigrant parents, academics, her disabilities, and social class. This poem does not focus on the negative, but uses the struggles as the flue to light the fire in the author’s soul.
