COPD self-management trials with at least one measure of health literacy or its related outcomes.	Trials which did not include measures of health literacy.
Studies which were conducted in primary care, outpatient clinics and community settings.	Studies which were conducted in in-patient settings.
Studies provided education suitable for patients with low literacy levels.	Studies provided education without determining suitability for low literate patients.
