Measurement property	Definition
Reliability	the extent to which two or more scores are consistent for individuals, under stable conditions, at different time points
Construct validity
Convergent validity	the extent to which two instruments (measuring a related construct) associate
Known-groups validity	the extent to which an instrument can differentiate between individuals with differing characteristics
Criterion validity
Concurrent validity	the extent to which an instrument associates with the ‘gold standard’ (i.e. well-accepted measures in the field)
Predictive validity	the extent to which an instrument can measure a future outcome
Responsiveness	the extent to which an instrument can detect change in a construct over time
