Films on Demand

Pages 204-213 | Published online: 20 Aug 2012

Abstract

Films on Demand provides streaming digital videos, specifically geared for serving educational needs. While not solely clinical based, they offer titles in a wide range of disciplines, including a wealth of resources in Health and Medicine. Other interdisciplinary categories are available that would be useful resources to health and medical professionals. Convenient access and the ability to embed videos in other web environments, including course management systems like Blackboard, make this a favorable product. This article will review the contents, navigation, and customizations available to users of Films on Demand, and discuss why an audiovisual e-resource is a beneficial acquisition in today's educational environment.
