Allylation Reaction of α-Diketones in Aqueous Medium

Abstract

Indium was found to be able to promote the SnCl ₂ -mediated carbonyl allylation reactions of α-diketones in aqueous medium. Detailed studies showed that the reaction could be applied to a variety of α-diketones compounds including chain and ring diketones. The reaction conditions were optimized.
