Abstract
The Co-Mn compound with a microrod structure in length of 50–150 μm and diameter of 1–3 μm was firstly prepared through a convenient hydrothermal method. The composition, structure, and morphology of the as-prepared products were characterized by electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectrum (EDS), inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy (ICP-MS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Consequently, the formula of the microrods could be determined as Co9MnP4O11. In addition, the magnetic property measured by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) under room temperature showed that the saturation magnetization (M s), remanent magnetization (M r), and coercivity (H c) of this microrod are 2.98 emu/g, 0.057 emu/g, and 41.69 Oe, respectively.
