Abstract
A novel water cluster, formed from lattice water molecules, and further forming a 3D network through hydrogen interactions, is stabilized in an organic-inorganic salts [Ni(2,2’-bipy)3]2[H2(TeW6O24)]·28H2O, 1. Compound 1 consists of an Anderson-type tungstotellurate, two [Ni(2,2’-bipy)3]2+ cations, and 28 lattice water molecules. Once the relevant crystal is removed from the mother liquor it loses water molecules, which results in breaking down the water cluster.
