Abstract
Two new Cu(II)-radical complexes [Cu(4ImNNH)2(ClO4)2] 1 and [Cu(NIT-2Py)2(ClO4)](ClO4).CH3OH 2, (NIT2-py = 2-(2’-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide, 4ImNNH = 2-(4-imidazolyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazolin-1-oxyl-3-oxide), have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis, element analyses, IR, and UV-visible spectroscopy. X-ray analysis reveals that both Cu(II) ions are six-coordinated with octahedron geometry. Cu(II) ions in complex 2 are bridged by perchlorate anions, leading to a 1D chain structure.
