Abstract
A new luminescent Cd(II) coordination polymer, namely [Cd3(btc)2(bix)2)]n·2nH2O (1 H3btc = 1, 3, 5-benzenetricarboxylic acid, bix = 4,4′-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene), has been successfully synthesized and structurally characterized. Single-crystal X-ray analysis reveals that 1 is a three-dimensional (3D) complicated framework and can be simplified into a (4, 5, 5)-connected topological network based on three unequivalent nodes. In addition, the luminescent property of this compound was also investigated in the solid state at room temperature.
