Abstract
The present study was undertaken to throw more light on the cyclopalladation mechanism. The reactivity of Schiff base ligands {N - (4methoxy benzylidene) 4-methoxyaniline (1) and N - (4nitro benzylidene) 4methoxyaniline (2)} by interaction with palladium (II) acetate is allowed to the isolation of different complexes (1a–f) and (2a–f). All the newly synthesized compounds are characterized using elemental analysis, IR, UV-VIS, 1HNMR and mass spectral tools as well as TGA.
