Alexandros K. Kyrou

Alexandros K. Kyrou is Professor of History and Coordinator of the Program in East European and Russian Studies at Salem State University, in Salem, Massachusetts, where he teaches on the Balkans, Byzantium, and the Ottoman Empire. His areas of research interest range from international humanitarian relief in Axis-occupied Greece to Balkan Diasporas and Byzantine war- and peace-making. A former Research Fellow at Harvard and Princeton Universities, he holds a Ph.D. in History from Indiana University.
