ABSTRACT

Today, social media can be seen as a source of information on aspects of human behavior, social influence and knowledge discovery. With accurate and selective data collection in certain areas of social media, it can be used to assess urban sustainability. With this in mind, the use of YouTube social media will be used to assess and measure urban sustainability. This study aims to determine whether YouTube social media can be used to measure urban sustainability based on the existing city’s published videos, and if so, what is the level of this measurement? In this study, an innovative method was used to cross-section videos of pedestrians recorded in real conditions and in a real environment, and finally it was found that urban sustainability depends on walking, not riding.
