Abstract
Multinational Corporations (MNCs) are the drivers of globalization and internationalization. MNCs have substantially contributed to the world trade and development as has been identified by multilateral financial institutions such as IMF, World Bank, World Trade Organization and UNCTAD, to name a few. Latin American Region is home to emerging economies and is deeply integrated in the world trade. The paper presents an overview of Multinational Corporations (MNCs) role and contribution in Latin America. The study with the help of panel regression attempts to identify the determinants of Inward FDI in Latin America on a sample of 10 countries for a period 1980–2014.
