Abstract

This article reviews Nicholas M. Teich's Transgender 101: A Simple Guide to a Complex Issue, a concise introductory work on the topic. The text is an excellent resource on transsexuality but marginalizes and at times misunderstands genderqueer and other nonbinary identities, which are how many trans youth identify today.
