About the Authors

Mario Biggeri is Associate Professor of Development Economics at the University of Florence, Scientific Director of ARCO (Action Research for CO-development) and Director of the Scientific and Ethical Committee of Yunus Social Business Center University of Florence. Since 2010, he is Fellow of the Human Development and Capability Association. His research concentrates on political economy for sustainable human development, international cooperation, industrial policies, social entrepreneurship, local development, impact evaluations, participatory methods, poverty measures, well-being of children, youth and persons with disabilities.

Enrico Testi is a research fellow at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Florence. He is Director of the Research Lab ARCO (Action Research for CO-development) and Director of the Yunus Social Business Centre University of Florence, a centre founded in partnership with Nobel Peace Prize Prof. Muhammad Yunus. He is expert in local development, social business, social enterprise, and evaluation.

Marco Bellucci is a research fellow at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Florence and Coordinator of the Social Economy Unit at ARCO (Action Research for CO-development). His research interests include social enterprises, stakeholder engagement, sustainability reporting, social and environmental accounting, and third sector organisations.
