The upper panel illustrates the 10.79KB genomic map of ZIKV while the lower panel presents the 12 MCPH genes involved in microcephaly primary heredity (MCPH) or autosomal recessive primary microcephaly. Six miRNAs aligned perfectly at the seed sequences (shown in the middle panel) with the ZIKV and 12 MCPH genomes. Of note, miR-1304 targets six out of 12 MCPH genes.
