ABSTRACT

The text is an introduction to the symposium on “Future of Globalization?” for International Critical Thought. It includes a selection of four articles developed after their presentation at the 2019 conference of the Network for Critical Studies of Global Capitalism in Beijing, written by scholars from China, Czech Republic, UK and USA, focusing on issues of transnational capital, China–US tensions, China's and world's reform, and ideology evolution in globalization.

Notes on Contributors

Jerry Harris is a founding member and national secretary of the Global Studies Association of North America and a founding member and on the international executive committee of the Network for the Critical Studies of Global Capitalism. He specializes in transnational capitalist class theory and political economy.

Marek Hrubec is Director and Senior Research Fellow of the Centre of Global Studies in the Institute of Philosophy at the Czech Academy of Sciences in Praque. He is also a founding member and on the international executive committee of the Network for the Critical Studies of Global Capitalism. He has published on social, economic and political justice, global conflicts, intercultural dialogue, development and the global poor.
