Figure 2. Cellular immune responses in the different vaccine groups. Antigen-specific T cell responses were measured in PBMC 2 weeks after the 2^nd vaccination. PBMC were stimulated with peptide pools covering SIV gp160 mac239 (A), SIV p39^gag (B and D) or HIV gp120 PTE (C). The frequency of the antigen-specific T cells producing IFN-γ is shown. Asterisks designate statistically significant differences between groups (*P < 0.05, ***P < 0.001 and ****P < 0.0001) using the non-parametric 2-tailed t-test (Mann-Whitney).
