Abstract
Road transport is a major contributor to CO2 emission and considerable research has been done to reduce the emission through planning efficient vehicle routing since it became a concern for the environment. This paper provides a brief review of solution approaches used in green vehicle routing problems (G-VRP). Since the G-VRP has received recent attention and there are a couple of review papers that address, in general, a summary of the G-VRP, this paper will focus on solution approaches for papers related to G-VRP which were published after 2000.
