Abstract
Researchers in various disciplines have investigated how interaction with technology affects health and well-being, but evidence-based wellness models in counseling do not currently address the implications of technology use. The new concept of TechnoWellness encourages recognition that individuals’ interactions with technology can have powerful impacts on holistic wellness over the life span. TechnoWellness interventions, guided by empirically supported wellness models, can support professional counselors in their efforts to help clients attain optimal wellness.
