Abstract
Interprofessional collaboration allows mental health counselors to effect social change to their full potential, offer improved services to clients, and increase access to employment opportunities (Myers, Sweeney, & White, 2002). The principles and techniques found in the Transtheoretical Model (TTM) (DiClemente, Schlundt, & Gemmell, 2004) can afford mental health counselors a roadmap to succeed in interprofessional collaboration where they can demonstrate the profession’s commitment to prevention, development, and strength-based holistic approaches to concerns.
