Amol Awuor is a Kenyan writer, journalist and aspiring academic. Amol’s thesis examines the portrayal of memory and mourning, and how they lead to identity construction and reconstruction in the selected short stories of two ‘invisible’ Kenyan authors. He is also researching writers’ use of digital technologies to push frontiers of publishing, circulation and consumption. He holds a B.Ed. (Arts) from Kenyatta University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in English in the Department of Literary Studies in English at Rhodes University.
