Organizational Citizenship Behavior is an “Individual behavior that is discretionary, not directly or explicitly recognized by the formal reward system, and that in the aggregate promotes the effective functioning of the organization” संगठनात्मक नागरिक व्यवहार एक “वैयक्तिक व्यवहार है जो विवेकाधीन होता है, सीधे या स्पष्ट तौर पर औपचारिक प्रतिफल तंत्र द्वारा मान्यता-प्राप्त नहीं होता, और समग्र दृष्टि से संस्थान के सुचारू और प्रभावपूर्ण संचलन में योगदान देता है.
