Abstract
Authenticity is a fundamental component of counseling adolescents, yet demonstrating this intuitive process can be difficult. In this article, we outline ways in which we implement the behavioral practice of authenticity in counseling adolescents. We present two case vignettes that demonstrate genuine interactions with teenage clients and discuss implications for counseling.
