Figure 1. ML phylogenetic tree is rooted with Arabidopsis thaliana. The most basal lineage was Glycine max (L.) Merr. followed by the Cicer arietinum L. The next branch included Medicago, of which M. sativa and M. falcata showed higher similarity.
