Abstract
The self‐assembled films of CdS nanoparticle‐polyelectrolyte sensitized by tetrasulfonated copper phthalocyanine (CuTsPc) were fabricated on an indium‐tin‐oxide (ITO) electrode by electrostatic attraction. The structure and optical properties were characterized. The films sensitized by dye show stronger photovoltaic signals than those not sensitized, which is attributed to the electron transfer from the excited state of CuTsPc to the conduction band of CdS nanoparticles.
