Recurrent oral aphthous ulcers (at least 3 times a year) and 2 of the following: Recurrent genital ulcers Skin lesions Ocular inflammation Positive pathergy test (Behçetine test)a

^a Pathergy test is performed by inserting a 20-guage or smaller needle (no injection) 5 mm obliquely into the skin of the flexor aspect of the forearm. The test is positive if there is an indurated erythematous papule or pustule with >2 mm diameter after 24 to 48 hours.
