1 Over the years a number of colleagues have lamented on the limited opportunities of discussion within their own department on social accounting. Conversely, I was recently somewhat surprised when asked in an interview as to my capacity to converse with a theoretical junior colleague who wished to pursue a research agenda in mainstream accounting.
