SUMMARY

Keast, A. 1978. Zoogeography and evolutionary history of the scrubwren genus Sericornis. Emu 78: 119–125.

Sericornis, a well-defined genus of small-bodied acanthizine warblers inhabiting rainforest and eucalypt forest, has undergone twin radiations in New Guinea and Australia and there has been some interchange of species, with speciation, between the two. The members feed at low and middle stratal levels but terrestrial feeders have developed in Australia.
