When this article was first published online, a textual error was found in the captions for Table 2 and Table 3.

The original caption text stated: “Mean values and standard deviations for micronucleus test endpoints in buccal epithelial cells (average cytogenetic damage score/1000 gingival epithelial cells) among participants who were using Plidenta brand of toothpaste at different time points.”

The correct wording is: “Mean values and standard deviations for micronucleus test endpoints in buccal epithelial cells (average cytogenetic damage score/1000 buccal epithelial cells) among participants who were using Plidenta brand of toothpaste at different time points”.

The authors wish to point out that the research was conducted using buccal cells.

The error has now been corrected and the article has been re-published.
