Nina Wilén is a National Funds (FNRS) post-doctoral research fellow at Université Libre Bruxelles (ULB) in Belgium. The main focus of her research is post-conflict states and peace-building with a particular interest in gender and the post-conflict military institution. She has published widely on topics related to peace operations and the military and has conducted fieldwork in Burundi, Rwanda, Liberia the DRC, and South Africa. She is the author of the book Justifying Interventions in Africa: (De) stabilizing Sovereignty in Liberia, Burundi and the Congo, published with Palgrave Macmillan.
